Musical ‘Cats’ Finally Called “F’d up” By Well Known Critic

“Its not ingenious, its not artsy, its not intelligent, its not entertaining, its not even cute, its just plain disturbing and f’d up,” said well-known critic of musicals Scott Ballard. “Cats” has been considered one of the most innovative musicals and is one of the most highly attended of all time. It consists of people dressed as cats and acting like cats in an entirely imaginative atmosphere. Renowned critics always seem to give this musical great reviews, and praise the actors and the script for creating a great work of art.
“People dressed and acting like cats, does anyone else find this strange?” Ballard remarked to other critics whom he used to respect. When asked why he was in the minority of critics as well as viewers of the play he had no straight answer. “I think anyone who finds this crap even remotely entertaining or normal should be beaten like a piñata.”
Ever since his outburst after the musical Ballard has been taking much public criticism, especially from the actors as well as his colleagues. Julie Peters, an actress in the timeless play expressed her view of Ballard’s remarks “I am an actress and a cat is a very difficult part to play, it should be looked upon as a triumph of human emotion evoked into an earlier animalistic period, one where intrinsic mortal feelings are expressed in an original piece.” Michael Kulls, a critic for the NY Times also gave his opinion on Ballard “I like Cats, I don’t know what saucer he’s drinking from.” Kulls laughed out loud after his remark and was beaten shortly afterward.
Ballard claims that since the musical has gotten good remarks for so long that everyone is scared to finally tell the truth, that being that it is a “horrible concoction created by a heartless bastard.” Due to these comments Ballard was recently fired from his job for creating such an uproar surrounding a classic piece of art. For now, “Cats” will still be considered one of the greatest musicals ever but it may take a while to get over this blemish on its long lasting trip into history.
